Reversible Pillow Band

Reversible Pillow Band

This is something so unique, with lots of techniques, and we know you’re going to love it!

Okay, to begin this fun project, lets see the four designs that you will be making for this pillow band:

What an easy way to turn a neutral pillow into a holiday pillow! There a lot of options for creating this band. You can embroider, applique, decorative stitch or use heat transfer vinyl to decorate the band. You can choose to decorate the front and back of the band or just one side. When you reverse the band you can decorate it with another holiday!

Included with this project are 2 designs!

Watch the included video to see how the Tree design was created!

The other embroidery designs are from the Floriani “Fall Abstracts” design collection and the Floriani “Holiday Ornaments” design collection.

What’s all the Hype About?

What’s all the Hype About?

You’ve probably seen a few posts on Warm Winter Wishes if you follow our social media, right? Well, what’s all the hype about anyways? For the first time ever, Embellish is launching a new program called, “License to Create”! We kinda think it’s a little blog worthy, but we will let you decide! Follow along with all the fun details below!

This new program is being launch with a select group of dealers as a marketing test to see how it performs. In the Spring of 2020, however, that stream of 12 projects will be released to any Embellish dealer ready to embark on this journey! Ready to see the projects? Let’s go!

License to Create is a fun 12-project (3 month) kit that also includes cool opportunities with the Embellish Maker and Craft N Cut too! This years theme is similar to a modern-clean farmhouse. AKA, call Joanna Gaines because this is totally her style!

Here’s the first three projects! An adorable bear table runner with neutral-toned fabric, custom gift tags with chalkboard vinyl on the back, and a farm-fresh truck pillow!

Next we have the cookie platter (this could be used in so many ways), the animal stocking (there is a cat and dog version), and the stuffed ornaments (there is a pear, drum, and a partridge).

Wow! These are just the gifts that keep on giving!! Now we have the embossed towel with a soap dispenser wrap, the be joyful pillow, and the token game with a custom galvanized bucket.

Finally, we have the snowflake canvas, deck the halls (we used the tree version in the wreath, but there is also a joy hanger and a bell too!), and the lovely chalkboard countdown to Christmas!

This new kit with their Winter, Spring, Summer, and Fall editions is going to be an amazing way to get creative!

I guess you can say we are a little excited!

Though we know the holidays may be a bit different this year, we truly believe that these fun, 12 projects will bring the magic of Christmas in every home!

Stay tune for exclusive sneak peeks of our Spring 2021 roll-out coming soon! Until then, happy crafting everyone!

Skeleton Pillow

Skeleton Pillow

It’s spooky season and we are in love with this project that Clarrisa made! With the Harry Potter Font, adorable skeletons, and the loving family incorporation, we are here for this!

Supplies:

· ½ yard of fabric for pillow front and back

· 12”x20” pillow form

· 12-14” invisible zipper for back

· 2 yards of ½” wide cord for outside edge-mine didn’t have a flange so I ended up stitching
mine on by hand (optional)

· Floriani Metallic thread-THE BEST ON THE MARKET!! Not one thread break.

· 60wt thread for embroidering the small lettering- I used Quilter’s Select Perfect Cotton Plus.
It has a polyester core for strength and cotton on the outside for a cotton look. It behaved
great while embroidering!

You may also use Embellish Flawless Thread- it is also a 60 wt thread.

https://rnk-embellish.com/products/Embellish-Threads/Embellish-Flawless-Thread

· Floriani Heat n Sta stabilizer

· Floriani Heat n Gone topper

· Floriani Dream Weave Ultra-14”x23”

· RNK Turning Tool

· Floriani embroidery thread for the skeletons

· Bobbin thread

· 6” piece of extra wide double fold bias tape

· Fabric glue

· Chalk Marker

· Floriani Template Tearaway

· Standard Sewing thread to coordinate with your fabric

· 80/12 Microtex Floriani Chrome needle

Pumpkin Hoops

Pumpkin Hoops

Clarrisa has done it again with another amazing #fall project for you! This is the perfect addition to your home décor needs and wants! Ready to create it? Follow the tutorial below!

Supplies:

• 3 hand embroidery hoops of various sizes. I used an 8 ½”, 6 ½” and 5 ¼” hoop.
https://www.joann.com/round-wood-rubber-hoop/17610460.html

The embroidery designs can be adjusted for whatever size hoops you have.

• 1 yard of fabric for the background. Use a “vintage” looking fabric. I used a loosely woven
linen. Monks Cloth, osnaburg, burlap, twill, linen, drill and Waffle weave fabric all work well.
Make sure the fabric isn’t too thick like canvas as you will need to hoop it. I found quite a
few fabrics in the Utility section of fabrics at Joann’s.

• Spray Starch

• Various scraps of fabric in oranges for pumpkins, browns for the stems and greens for the
leaves. I ended up purchasing 1/8th of a yard of about 7 different prints for the oranges as I
didn’t have many scraps.

• 1 yard of ¾” wide grosgrain ribbon to join the hoops to together on the back and create a
loop for hanging.

• Glue gun and extra glue

• A piece of RNK Sew Fab Foam about 15”x15”

• Floriani Embroidery thread and bobbin thread

• Floriani Heat n Gone topper- This is generally used as a topper. For this project we are
going to use it as a stabilizer. The roll is generally 10” wide and you will be using a hoop
about 200mmx300mm. 10” isn’t wide enough for the width of this hoop so you will use 2
pieces for each hooping. You will need to hoop 3 times for the 3 pumpkins so you will need
about 80”x10” (the width of the roll). You can get Heat n Gone in a 20” wide roll which
works out better for this project. You’ll only need 40” of a 20”wide roll.
