Who’s ready for some fun facts about Utah?! We all know how beautiful it is whether we have traveled there, or seen the gorgeous pictures! But, do we know these facts?


Fun Facts About Utah:

  1. There is a town in the center of Utah called levan. It is navel spelled backwards, and is called that for being the “belly button” of the state.

  2. Salt Lake City is home to the leading national rubber duck manufacturer.

  3. Utah had the nation’s first department store, Zion’s Cooperative Mercantile Institution.

  4. Rainbow Bridge is a natural sculptured carved of sandstone and it is the largest natural-rock span. It stands at 278 ft wide and 309 ft high.

  5. Utah’s Little Hollywood, the town of Kanab, hosts a large number of motion pictures filmed in that area every year.

  6. Utah has the highest literacy in the nation.

  7. Utah is the only state who’s capital is three words, and it used to be more! (Salt Lake City)

  8. Most of the mountain, river, city, and park names in Utah came from Native American tribes.

  9. In the mountains, the average snowfall is 500 inches

  10. The Mormon temple in Salt Lake City took more than 40 years to complete.

  2. Almost half of the land surface of Maryland is covered by forest, which includes forty-seven state parks.

  3. Maryland is known as the “mini America” as it has almost every type of terrain, landscape, more animal and bird species than any other state.

  4. Maryland has 48 people that are the years of 114 and older.

  5. The Baltimore Ravens are named after Edgar Allen Poe’s famous poem, The Raven.

  6. Jousting has been the official sport of Maryland since 1962.

  7. The movies Runaway Bride and Tuck Everlasting were both filmed in Berlin, Maryland.

  8. Maryland was the first state to start Worker’s Compensation in 1902.

  9. The US Naval Academy was founded in Annapolis, MD, which is also the sailing capital of the world.

  10. The American Flag has flown continuously over the Francis Scott Key birthplace in Keymar since 1849.

Now, let’s learn some fascinating facts about the fun state of Delaware!


Fun Facts About Delaware:

  1. Buffering is something that Delawareans rarely have to worry about. The state enjoys the fastest Internet speeds in the country, with connection speeds higher than every other country observed with the exception of South Korea.

  2. Despite being the second-smallest state, Delaware is also the 6th most densely populated state in America.

  3. Another nickname for Delaware is the “Diamond State.” Thomas Jefferson reportedly once referred to it as a “jewel” due to its ideal location.

  4. In Wilmington, Delaware, students once set the record for the world’s tallest LEGO tower. The tower was 113 feet tall and made from more than 500,000 LEGO bricks.

  5. First settled by the Dutch in 1631, Lewes is the first town in the first state.

  6. Delaware is the third most bike friendly state in the U.S.

  7. Annie Jump Cannon, born in Dover, classified more than 225k stars! She was also the first woman to become an officer in the American Astronomical Society.

  8. Delaware has the largest population of horseshoe crabs.

  9. Got milk? isn’t a question in Delaware, as their state beverage is milk!

  10. The Dover National Speedway is home to a 46 foot statue of a monster holding a full sized car in it’s hand, giving the speedway the nickname “Monster Mile”.
