This project is featuring a ready-made pillow for a stress-free project, highlighting our marking pen, fabric glue, amazing grippy rulers, seam ripper, applique scissors, rotary cutter & mat system, the Embellish Maker Software, buttonholes, and attaching buttons easily by machine. Plus, she will review how to embroider hard to hoop items as a bonus!


The steps that you will learn for this pillow panel can be used for any size pillow, and it is one of the most trendy items on the market!

Fun Facts About Connecticut:

  1. The first telephone book ever issued contained only fifty names. The New Haven District Telephone Company published it in New Haven in February 1878.

  2. In Hartford, you may not, under any circumstances, cross the street walking on your hands!

  3. Connecticut is home to the first hamburger (1895), Polaroid camera (1934), helicopter (1939), and color television (1948).

  4. In 1937, Connecticut became the first state to issue permanent license plates for cars.

  5. Some of the world’s most famous cloth is woven in the Stafford textile mills.

  6. Connecticut State insect is the Praying Mantis.

  7. In colonial New Haven cut pumpkins were used as guides for haircuts to ensure a round uniform style.

  8. The first automobile law was passed by the state of CT in 1901. The speed limit was set at 12 miles per hour.

  9. Connecticut is home to the oldest U.S. newspaper still being published: The Hartford Courant, established in 1764.

  10. Cattle branding in the United States began in Connecticut when farmers were required by law to mark all of their pigs.

Fun Facts About Rhode Island:

  1. The only nuclear explosion to ever happen in the U.S. outside of a controlled environment happened in Wood River, R.I. in 1964.

  2. Mr. Potato Head was named as the official “family-travel ambassador” of Rhode Island in 2000.

  3. Newport is home to the country’s oldest continually used library, the Redwood Library.

  4. If you’re neighbor gets caught having more than 11 permanent vehicles in front of their house, it’s a misdemeanor.

  5. Originally rotated by huge draft horses, the watch hill, R.I. carousel, the flying horse carousel, is the oldest in the country, built in 1850.

  6. The state’s full, unabbreviated name, Rhode Island and Providence Plantations, is the longest state name.

  7. Though the sport never grew to huge popularity among Americans, the first American outdoor polo match was held in Rhode Island in 1876.

  8. Brown University was named after Rhode Islander Nicholas Brown, one of the key leaders in ratifying the Constitution.

  9. Over 400 Rhode Islands can fit inside of Alaska, and almost 4,000 can fit in America.

  10. In 1774, Newport became home to the country’s first official circus performance.

Fun Facts About Wyoming:

  1. The JCPenney stores were started in Kemmerer.

  2. The largest coal mine in the USA is Black Thunder located near Wright.

  3. The Red Desert in south central Wyoming drains neither to the east nor to the west. The continental divide splits and goes around the desert on all sides leaving the basin without normal drainage.

  4. The Horse on the Wyoming license plate has a name, “Old Steamboat”.

  5. The state has 7 national parks and 12 state parks

  6. Rodeo became the official state sport of Wyoming in 2003.

Now it’s time to learn a few fun facts about the great state of New Mexico! You know that the state flower is the Yucca, but what else will we learn today?!


Fun Facts About New Mexico:

  1. Even though Pluto is no longer a planet, its discoverer was New Mexican Clyde Tombaugh.

  2. More chili peppers are farmed in New Mexico than all other states combined.

  3. Albuquerque has more than 300 local hot air balloons, making it the hot air balloon capital of America with more than any other city.

  4. At over 8,000 feet, the Capulin Volcano is so tall that five states can be seen from the top: New Mexico, Colorado, Kansas, Oklahoma, and Texas.

  5. With more than 30 pounds of green chili, Gallup, N.M. holds the world record for the world’s largest Navajo taco.

  6. The first atomic bomb ever detonated was set off near Alamogordo in 1945. The site is now known as the Trinity Site.

  7. More uranium was produced in Grants, N.M. than anywhere else in America during the wars of 20th century, leading it to be dubbed the “uranium capital of the world.”

  8. The Sandia Peak Tramway is the longest working aerial tramway in North America. It is 2.7 miles long.

  9. The World Shovel Race Championship is held every year in Angel Fire, N.M.

  10. Carlsbad Caverns are truly massive, with one chamber alone stretching over 3,000 feet with a height at some places of 22 stories.
